Warsaw High School, which is located in Hancock County and Section 11, is currently accepting applications for half-time agriculture teacher and Co-FFA advisor. The new teacher will be part of a two teacher program with Don Bumphrey. Don is schedule to retire after this coming school-year.
The position offers a 20 day summer contract. Salary will be commensurate with experience and in accordance with negotiated agreement. Warsaw is on a block schedule and the successful candidate will teach on “A” days only. “A” days are every Monday and Wednesday and every other Friday.
The teaching responsibilities will be based on the successful candidate’s strengths. Possible courses include: Agribusiness, Ag Science, Horticulture/Landscaping, Wildlife Management, Ag Mechanics, Ag Construction, and Small Engines. |

Required Qualifications: Earned master’s degree in agricultural technology management, agricultural education or closely related discipline. Knowledge of agricultural electrical power, surveying and construction.
Responsibilities: Teach agricultural technology management courses.
The Department: The School of Agriculture is one of eight departments housed in the College of Business and Technology and has 13 full-time faculty positions. Approximately 330 students are majoring in Agriculture. Included on the School of Agriculture’s three farms (the nearest located one mile north of the main campus) are a tree nursery and horticultural plots; bull, swine, and ram test facilities; a livestock center; and row crop test and demonstration plots, including an 80 acre organic research and demonstration farm.
