The ROWVA FFA Chapter has a long-standing tradition of promoting the agriculture industry through agriculture education. The ROWVA FFA Chapter has been very successful over the years in Section, District, and State level proficiencies, Career Development Events, Leadership Development Events, and National Chapter Awards. Qualifications
Illinois PEL with Endorsement in Agriculture Education or Career and Technical Education Educator License with Stipulations (ELS). Ability to teach 9-12 is required, but 6-12 is preferred.
Salary/Benefits
The salary will be determined by the current collective bargaining agreement which can be found on the district's website. The candidate will also receive additional compensation through the Three Circles grant.

Lakeland College is currently seeking a full-time horticulture instructor for a grant funded position at Joliet Treatment Center, 2848 West McDonough, Joliet, IL.
Instructional responsibilities would include teaching courses and labs in the Horticulture Certificate Program (Class sizes are small and program is well organized).
Extensive knowledge of soils-media-fertility, food crop production, plant propagation, pest and disease
control on turf, garden, and ornamental plants required.
Educational Requirements:

The courses offered include Introduction to AFNR, and three pathways in Horticulture, Agriculture Science, and Ag Mechanics. Courses include Veterinary Science, Ag Engineering, Ag Mechanics, Horticulture, Floral Design, and more. The specific courses taught by the instructor will be determined based on the strengths of the new instructor with the current instructor, Toni Gabriel. Facilities include an attached greenhouse, a pollinator garden and orchard, chickens, and two mechanics shops including a 13-station welding shop and wood construction shop. The Charleston High School Ag Ed program is a three-circle program. Currently there
are 300+ students enrolled in Ag Ed and Ind. Tech classes. The Charleston CUSD #1

programs.

space, a wood shop, greenhouse, a mechanics/welding shop, a CNC Plasma Table, a
CAD Lab, 1-1 computers, and considerable storage space.
