ROWVA High School, located in Section 4 in Oneida, IL, is seeking an Agriculture Education Teacher and Co FFA Advisor beginning Fall 2025. Mr. Rod Main is retiring after 31 years at ROWVA High School.  Successful Candidate will join Elise Main to be part of 2 teacher program. Mrs. Main is committed to mentoring the successful candidate and collaborating with him or her to determine what classes will make up each instructor’s course load.

Qualifications

Illinois PEL with Endorsement in Agriculture Education or Career and Technical Education Educator License with Stipulations (ELS). Ability to teach 9-12 is required, but 6-12 is preferred. 

Salary/Benefits

The salary will be determined by the current collective bargaining agreement which can be found on the district's website. The candidate will also receive additional compensation through the Three Circles grant.

Seneca High School, in Section 7 and District 2, is currently seeking a science teacher for the 2025-2026 school year.  Candidates must hold a valid Illinois professional educator license and be highly competent, self-motivated, and collaborative. The Genoa-Kingston Agriculture Department is expanding to a 2-teacher program. The courses offered include Introduction to AFNR, and three pathways in Horticulture, Agriculture Science, and Ag Mechanics. Courses include Veterinary Science, Ag Engineering, Ag Mechanics, Horticulture, Floral Design, and more.  The specific courses taught by the instructor will be determined based on the strengths of the new instructor with the current instructor, Toni Gabriel. Facilities include an attached greenhouse, a pollinator garden and orchard, chickens, and two mechanics shops including a 13-station welding shop and wood construction shop.  Each instructor will have a dedicated classroom.  Genoa-Kingston participates in the 3-circle program. Watseka Community High School, located in Section 10, is seeking a full-time agriculture educator for immediate hire. The newly hired teacher will work with the current agriculture teacher, Phil Wilkey. The Watseka High School Ag Ed program is a Three-Circles program. Currently there are 200+ students enrolled in Ag Ed classes. The Watseka Community Unit District #9, administration, Board of Education, alumni, and community are very supportive of this program.

Classes to be taught would be based upon the interest and strength of the successful candidate. Current courses offered are Introduction to Agriculture (7th grade rotation), Ag Business, Floral Design, Careers, Biological Science Applied to Ag (BSAA), and Computer Concepts. The facilities include: two classrooms, a wood shop, greenhouse, mechanics/welding shop, and land lab.

Beardstown CUSD #15 is seeking a middle school/high school Agricultural Education Instructor and FFA Advisor. 

Carlinville High and Carlinville Middle Schools are seeking applicants for the position of a Career and Technology Education teacher for the 2024-2025 school year. Candidates for this position need to hold or be completing licensure through the ISBE and meet high qualified status. Rantoul Township High School is searching for an Agriculture Education Teacher.  Agriculture classes are some of the most requested classes at RTHS.  RTHS enjoys the demographics of a small urban community in a rural setting.  The student population is around 900 students.   A culture of collaboration has been established throughout the school.  RTHS receives students from 6 different feeder schools. Charleston High School, located in Section 20, is seeking a full-time agriculture

education for Immediate hire. The newly hired teacher will work with the current

agriculture teacher, Ben Oakley, and the other CTE teachers. FFA duties will be shared

between the two agriculture teachers.

The Charleston High School Ag Ed program is a three-circle program. Currently there

are 300+ students enrolled in Ag Ed and Ind. Tech classes. The Charleston CUSD #1

administration, board of education, alumni, and community are very supportive of these

programs.

Classes to be taught would be based upon the interest and strength of the successful

candidate. Current courses offered are Introduction to Agriculture, Ag Science,

Horticulture, Welding, Small Engines, Ag Mech & Tech, Adv. Ag Mech & Tech,

Geometry & Construction, Production Tech, CAD, and Construction Trades. Currently

using CASE plant and animal science curriculums.

The Ag and Ind. tech program recently went under a major renovation in 2022 and has

state-of-the-art facilities. The facilities include: Two classrooms, one shared office

space, a wood shop, greenhouse, a mechanics/welding shop, a CNC Plasma Table, a

CAD Lab, 1-1 computers, and considerable storage space.
