Lyons Township (postponed until 2023)  (District 2)  - AgriScience Teacher & FFA Advisor
Lyons Township High School is excited to announce their intent to begin an AFNR program beginning in the 2022-2023 school year. The program will be housed in the Science department at their Jr/Sr (North) campus, and courses offered will include Environmental Science and Urban Agriculture. Because this CTE program will be woven into Science offerings, Science credit will be offered for students, and therefore a Science endorsement is required in addition to an AFNR endorsement. It is anticipated in the first year that the candidate would need to teacher at least two Science courses until the program enrollment can support a full-time AFNR course load.

The school plans to participate in the Ag Education 3 Circles Grant and has already taken steps to begin a Jr. MANRRS chapter.
