Greetings ILCAE and ICAE! I'm organizing a two-day tour of four schools in Section 8 (plus the University of Illinois Urban Farm Training Center to highlight school-based food production.
Over the years I have been asked many times about touring Chicago-area Ag programs and I thought this would be an excellent opportunity to see some outstanding programs (some are approved Ag/FFA programs and some are not).
You can find the details here and you are welcome to join us for one or both days, June 21-22. The only cost will be lunch on your own and driving yourself (or carpooling). If you would like to join us just let me know which days you wish to participate.
