Well, I forgot get the link live....pardon my mistake. Now please click here to view an update from IDOT about work on I-55 at the Sangamon Avenue Exits.  To avoid the Sangamon Avenue potential traffic backups to get to the Illinois State Fairgrounds here are some helpful hints: 

• If coming from the North, take the Sherman Exit (Exit 105), follow it all the way into Springfield to the Fairgrounds.

• For those coming from the South, take the Clearlake Exit (Exit 98 B) to Dirksen, turn North on Dirksen to Sangamon Avenue.

• From the East, coming in on 72, when you take that all the way in to Springfield, that brings you in on Clearlake to then turn North on Dirksen to Sangamon Avenue.
