Forestry Career
Development Event In-service at Richland Community College
You and your students can learn about the
Forestry Career Development Event contest on September 16th at
Richland Community College. This in-service is designed to be
experiential where you and your students will learn and practice portions of
this contest together. The training will begin at 3:30 and finish by
6:00pm. We will begin in room E178 in the Andreas Agribusiness Wing of
the College. Portions of the training will be taught outside, weather
permitting.
You do not need to bring tree scale sticks to
the event, as they will be available for you and your students to use during
the training.
The registration deadline for the September 16th in-service
at Richland is September 13th. There is no cost to attend, but pre-registration is

The 2021 Forestry Career Development event
rules are now available on ILAGED, Forestry (ilaged.org) ,if
you are interested in looking at them prior to the training.
Finally, attendance at this in-service is not
limited to five students from your school.

When: Thursday, September 23, 2021
Time: Registration at 12:30PM, Contest starts at 1:00PM
All
schools throughout the state are welcome to attend and may also bring
multiple teams. All state rules will be followed. Please
register your team or teams by Friday, September 17th on ilaged.org. Dave Shiley, Richland
Community College, is setting up the contest so questions may be directed to
