Red Hill High School, located in Section 23, is seeking a full-time agriculture education teacher for the 2022-2023 school year. The newly-hired teacher will be working in the Agriculture Department with Mrs. Erin Michels.
Current courses offered are 8th Grade Industrial Arts, Introduction to Agriculture, Basic Agriculture Science, Basic Agriculture Mechanics, Horticulture Production/Management, Welding Technology 1, Agriculture Construction & Technology, Agriculture Machinery Service, Veterinary Science, Natural Resources and Environmental Science, and Agriculture Business Management. Facilities include two classrooms, an office, a woodworking shop, a welding shop, an agricultural lab, and a greenhouse.
The program has 152 students enrolled in agriculture education courses and all members are in the Red Hill FFA Chapter. The Red Hill FFA has had recent success at the local, state, and national levels. The community, school, administration, and alumni are very supportive of the Red Hill FFA Chapter.
Candidates will be paid based on the collective bargaining agreement and participation in the Three-Circle Grant. Candidates should have a valid Illinois Teacher License.
