2022 Greenhand Workshop and Chapter Officer Leadership Training (COLT)

This year's Greenhand Workshop will include workshops from State FFA Officers, District 5 Section Presidents, SIU CFFA/Ag Ed Club Officers, 2022 Illinois FFA National Officer Candidate Gracie Murphy, and former section presidents!  

This year's Chapter Officer Leadership Training will be led by former State FFA officers, Section officers, and the Agbassador Team.

Location - SIU Student Center (1255 Lincoln Dr, Carbondale, IL 62901). From Highway 51, turn west into campus on Lincoln Drive. The Student Center will be the second building on your right. Registration will take place at the top of the escalators inside the far south entrance of the building.

Drop-off - As you arrive, please drop off all students at the south entrance of the Student Center. While you are parking, students can proceed up the escalators and into the auditorium for chapter photos. Once you arrive inside, you can find your chapter in the auditorium and proceed to registration and the meal.

Registration - Please make every attempt to drop off students no later than 4:30 pm. It will take at least 15 minutes for your group to get their chapter photo, register, and eat dinner before a 5pm start time in Ballroom D. There will be a table for teachers to complete registration and pay for the conference (checks can be made out to SIU CFFA) and a separate table for students to sign in.

Students will fill out this form https://myfuture.siu.edu/register/GreenhandCOLT2022  to ensure we have accurate records of those who come to our campus. To save time, students may fill out this form before arriving at SIU.

Parking - Parking for large busses will be located at lot 11 at the student center. Personal vehicles and school vans can park in the lot directly across the road from the Student Center (Lot13). Parking is free and you do not need to worry about paying for the parking meters.

D5 Teacher's meeting - This year's teacher's meeting will be held in the agriculture building at 5:15 pm in room 102 (auditorium). Once you get your students registered, please pick up dinner and head to this meeting room for important information and updates for Agricultural Education in our region.

Dress – COLT participants MUST to be in official dress this year. Pants are encouraged for all participants. Chapter t-shirts are encouraged for Greenhand participants.

Masks – Masks are optional at SIU.
