Career Goal:  To pursue a career as an agriculture teacher and FFA advisor.

In eighth grade, Gracie Murphy’s best friend signed up for an agriculture class and FFA, so she did too. “Being a first-generation FFA member, I had no idea what I was getting myself into,” Murphy said. “However, I am so grateful my friends convinced me to take that intro to ag class my freshman year.”

Murphy hopes to help members find their purposes in the blue jacket this year by seeing them for who they truly are, understanding their story, and guiding them to where they can add the most value.

Gracie will be at the convention throughout the week, she will be our keynote speaker on Tuesday, June 13, 2023, in the 2nd General Session that begins at 6:30 p.m.  She will also be conducting workshops, speaking at meal functions and helping out around the convention center.  Please be sure to give Graice a BIG Illinois Welcome HOME and help make her feel right at BACK home during our 95th Annual Illinois FFA State Convention.
