Career & Leadership Development Events
FFA members focus on skill development and career preparation through participation in competitive career and leadership development events that develop individual responsibility, foster teamwork and promote communication while recognizing the value of ethical competition and individual achievement.

Chapter Visits
The Illinois FFA Major State Officers want to meet you! From September to December, Trenton, Brody, Sidney, Owen and Emma will be making their way around the state from Section 1 to Section 25.

Elite Conference
The need for agriculture teachers in the state of Illinois and nationwide are very high. This workshop is a great opportunity to meet other students with similar interests, talk with college and university representatives and get any questions answered about the possibilities teaching agriculture education has to offer.
Registration open in late August/early September.

Ground Zero
Illinois FFA is excited to host the Ground Zero Conference designed for 9th - 10th grade level students. The Major State FFA Officers are taking the lead in designing the curriculum and the activities prevalent throughout the conference, while the Section Presidents will take on the roles of group/breakout room leaders.

National FFA Convention
Every year, FFA members nationwide converge on the National FFA Convention & Expo to celebrate their accomplishments and find inspiration for their next steps. Motivational keynote speakers, energetic concerts, fulfilling workshops and a sweeping expo floor bustling with agricultural education and industry opportunities will have you snapping pics and grabbing videos of all of the experiences you’ll remember forever.

National FFA Week
Each year, FFA Chapters around the country celebrate National FFA Week, and this week-long tradition began in 1947 in conjunction with George Washington’s birthday. George Washington is recognized due to his legacy as an agriculturalist and farmer.

STAR Conference
Illinois FFA host a series of Section Team Activities and Responsibilities (S.T.A.R.) Conferences for Section Officer teams. At these day-long S.T.A.R. Conferences, members of Section Officer Teams are introduced to other Section Officers within the same district and are trained on the responsibilities of a Section Officer. Washington Leadership Conference
The National FFA Organization aims to provide exceptional leadership training to students of all experience levels through utilization of a three-part, cohesive conference series called the Chapter Leadership Continuum. The final conference in this series is the Washington Leadership Conference (WLC). Please watch for a listserv with more information.
