1.  IL FFA Alumni & Supporters Gator Raffle Tickets

The Illinois FFA Alumni still has IL FFA Alumni and Supporters Gator Raffle Tickets available to sell or if you’d like to buy tickets directly, please contact pdavis@illinoisffa.org.  If you’d like to receive the 40% rebate checks before the State FFA Convention, please send the sold tickets & checks (no cash) by Priority Mail to the IL FFA Alumni, 3221 Northfield Drive, Springfield, IL 62702 or you can bring the sold tickets & money to the State FFA Convention Registration Booth by Tuesday, June 13, 2023.

2.    Illinois FFA Leadership Camp Staff Needed

The 2023 Illinois FFA Leadership Camp will be here before we know it and we are looking for volunteers to serve on Camp Staff. The camp will once again be held at the 4-H Memorial Campground at Allerton Park outside Monticello, IL. Dates for this year's camp have been set as July 24-27, 2023. Staff should plan to report to camp on the afternoon of Sunday, July 23, 2023. We need approximately 22-25 willing participants to put on camp every year.

Camp would not be possible without the commitment and dedication of the many people who volunteer a week of their summer to help facilitate this annual event. So if you have been one of those people who have given of your time and efforts in the past then let me simply say "Thank You." If you have never served as a member of the Illinois FFA Leadership Camp perhaps you should ask yourself "Why not?" You don't know what you are missing until you spend a week making a huge difference in the lives of FFA members from around the Land of Lincoln. Please consider giving your time and talents and helping to shape the future of the Illinois Association FFA.

I am asking that interested individuals submit this application no later than Friday, May 26, 2023, in order that we can move forward with camp planning and development. If you have any questions about camp please feel free to contact me, Matt Meyer, agriculture teacher and FFA Advisor at Mendota High School and the Illinois FFA Camp Director at mmeyer@mendotahs.org. I hope that everyone's school years are drawing to a successful close and that fun things are planned for your summer vacations.
