The Crete - Monee School District 201U (located in Section 10) is seeking a highly motivated and passionate Agriscience teacher for its new high school AFNR program. The Agriscience teacher will be responsible for creating and delivering engaging and challenging lessons that help students understand careers and agriscience principles in Ag, Food, and Natural Resources (AFNR).
Courses to be offered in the first year include Intro to AFNR and Food Science. The administration and students are highly motivated to grow this program and provide the resources necessary for a teacher to build a thriving 3-Circle based program.
Because this program will be in its first year, additional teaching assignments may be made in science or other academic courses based on candidate strengths and certifications (until enrollment numbers grow to allow 100% AFNR assignment). FFA Advisor stipend will be $3000 in the first year and the district plans to participate in the 3 Circles program in following years.
