Hello IACCAI members!  

A few updates: 

1. SPRING CONFERENCE LOGISTICAL INFO: The TENTATIVE dates for the Spring Articulation conference are March 21-22, 2024 at SIUC.  

Our plan is to begin on Thursday afternoon with a presentation by SIUC as well as facility tours.  Thursday evening is still “To be determined”.  

On Friday we will begin in the morning by evaluating/ articulating 4 course outlines: 1) Crop Science, 2) Soil Science, 3) Agriculture Education and 4) Animal Science.  The Articulation Chair for each area will lead each session as we will work through each course individually.  Additionally, we plan for a Zoom option to be available. We will begin each session by asking for University input/ recommendations and then moving to recommendations from the entire group.  

My hope is to be finished articulating shortly after 12:00pm to then adjourn, and allow for a closing luncheon before departing for home. More details to follow.  

2. SPRING CONFERENCE ARTICULATION INFO- SYLLABI NEEDED! In preparing for articulation, I am trying to secure the most recent copy of each syllabus for the following areas. If you have a more recent copy (preferably in WORD) please e-mail it to me so that I may compile the most updated information to work with at the conference.

3. “THE PLAN” REVISION: As you may be aware, all Agricultural Education entities in Illinois have a vision compiled together for all levels of Agricultural Education, more commonly referred to as “The Plan.” The ball has started rolling for a full review/ revamp of “The Plan.” Here is the link to the entire document: https://www.ilaged.org/docs/sidemodules/ILAgEdPlanRevision-June2016%20Update(6-17-17)_77476.pdf 

What can you do to provide input? Please view the IACCAI portion at the link below.  If you have any suggestions, please get them to me via e-mail (rwildman@lakelandcollege.edu) by January 31st. If needed, we will then have an officer meeting to finalize IACCAI’s recommendation for “The Plan”.
