ISU Plant Systems Bootcamp- July 15-19, 2024- Registration is Now Open, Only 5 spots left!
This summer the Illinois State University (ISU) Department of Agriculture is offering an interactive, hands-on graduate course (AGR 485a02- Special Topics in Agricultural Education: Plant Systems) focusing on providing current teachers with knowledge and skills related to the plant systems pathway. This course will cover a wide range of topics related to plant science including principles of soil science, soil management and fertility, principles of plant science, crop production, precision agriculture, and ornamental horticulture (floriculture, landscaping, and greenhouse management). CDE Preparation in these areas will also be covered. Teachers of all experience levels are invited to participate.
For successful completion of the course, students will receive 3 hours of graduate credit. Current tuition rates and fees will apply. If you are not a current ISU graduate student, you may enroll as a visiting/non-degree seeking student at https://illinoisstate.edu/admissions/visiting/.
This course is limited to accommodating no more than 25 teachers. Registration for the course is now open. To ensure your spot, please register early.
Grants and fees will cover all workshop materials, refreshments, snacks, and lunch each day.
