• HOT, HOT, HOT - Camp Health Profiles & Obstacle Course Forms - PLEASE get those turned in.  Please see this link on which students have completed the required documents or have missing documents.  If you do not see your school’s name, then we do not have the required information.  All forms must be completed by July 8, 2024.  

• Happy 4th of July next week - the FFA Center will close at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 3, 2024, and CLOSED, on Thursday, July 4, 2024.  We are celebrating our Freedom with great gratitude!

1. Illinois State Fair update

With the new system (Showworks), advisors do not have to sign entries this year, BUT you need to approve your students that sign up under your chapter. 

The instructions can be found HERE and are attached. Please ensure you have this done by July 19, 2024,  so they can process the entries. You can do this all at once or sign in weekly.  State Fair does ask if you change your password, and if you are a multi-teacher program, that you inform others what the password is. If you have any questions, you can call them, but it might be quicker to email Stephaine at Stephanie.Hardy@illinois.gov. 

Also, a reminder:

NEW THIS YEAR:  A decision has been made to initiate steps to further improve traceability on the fairgrounds; therefore, for all cattle and swine, IDOA is requiring the individual identification of each animal by a USDA official animal identification number ear tag (“840” tag).  Additionally, beginning in 2025, the tag must be able to be read both visually and electronically. 

Steers do have to have Health papers.
