Growing Agricultural Science Teachers
Are you interested in exploring a career as an Agricultural Educator?
Current college students, juniors, and seniors in high school are eligible to apply for tuition waivers and paid internships.
- Helping coach a team for a career development event
- AG in the Classroom or Extension Programs
- Develop and deliver an Ag Careers Presentation

· Classroom hours teaching lessons to agricultural students or to other audiences on agriculturally related topics.
· Participation in a district or section Career Development Events.

Step 1: If you are not a current Black Hawk College Student, apply for admission at www.bhc.edu/apply High school students, fill out a Dual Credit Application, college students, fill out a College Application
Step 2: Enroll in AG 280 (Introduction to Agriculture Education) This is an online course. Limited amount of tuition waivers available for high school students.
Step 3: Fill out the Agriculture Education Internship Application and return application to Drew Cotton cottond@bhc.edu
Step 4: Students will be selected and complete a paid internship in Spring 2025.
Applications will be reviewed as received.
