During the joint IAVAT-FFA Board Meeting the idea came up that I host an official workshop for Section Fair Managers. It had been a long time since I offered something like this, so let’s do it! Here are the details:

- Updates from Jeannette Watkins, Illinois Department of Ag
- How Vo-Ag Fair Funding Works & how the AgEd website calculates fair payments
- Reviewing Your Fair: Ensuring all funds are spent
- How to lookup payment status on IL Comptroller website
- Tips for setting up fairs
- Section websites on ILAgEd (to post your fair book, constitution, handbook, etc)
- Reporting fair results
- Discussion about best practices for fairs: things like average payout values for different species, creating similar vo-ag fair class/department structure systems (which would help us if we could move to a different website and have to build a new management system).
