LaSalle-Peru Township High School, in Section 7, is seeking a full-time high school teacher/FFA Advisor to replant its Agriculture Education program in the 2025-2026 school year. The L-P community is excited to hit the ground running with this program and will be offering dual credit opportunities through Illinois Valley Community College in the spring 2025 semester.

The desired candidate will be highly motivated, community-minded, and collaborative. They should be prepared to offer students authentic learning experiences in and out of the classroom. The District plans to construct a new Ag building to house the program. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to build the program from the ground up.

Qualifications:

• Illinois Professional Educator License required.
• Master’s in Agriculture Education or related field preferred.
• 3-5 years experience in agriculture education preferred.
• CASE certified in at least one course preferred.

Salary/Benefits:

Commensurate with education and experience and based upon the teachers’

collective bargaining agreement, which contains salary and benefit details.

Successful candidate will receive an FFA stipend. The district is applying for the

Three circles grant to provide an extended contract.
