Carmi-White County CUSD #5, in Carmi (Section 25), is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Agriculture Education Teacher and FFA Advisor for the 2025-26 school year. The newly hired individual will be serving as the second teacher and will be working with Mr. John Lamp. We congratulate Mr. Bobby Lamp for spending over 30 years in agriculture education and wish him well in his retirement.
Facilities include a classroom, greenhouse, welding shop and construction shop. Within the agriculture department there are currently 179 students taking an agriculture education course. Current courses offered, but are able to be adapted due to strengths of the hired individual, include Horticulture Production & Management, Introduction to the Agricultural Industry, Natural Resources, Basic Agricultural Science, Agricultural Leadership, Career Exploration, Agricultural Construction, Agricultural Welding, and Agricultural Mechanics.
Candidates should have a valid Illinois Teacher License. Candidates will be paid based on the collective bargaining agreement. This position also may include an FFA stipend and/or eligibility for the Three Circle Grant.
