Site/Time:  Black Hawk East College, East Campus, 26230 Black Hawk Rd, Galva, IL 61434 & Starts at 9:00 a.m. (Registration starts 2 hours before the contest and ends 30 minutes before the CDE begins.)

Divisions:  Varsity Reasons, Non-Reasons for High & Middle Schools

IMPORTANT:  Non-competing current middle school or high school student observers will NOT be permitted to attend this/any contest.

Registration Details:  

• Reasons Mandatory Registration Ends Friday, January 24, 2025, at 11:59 p.m.

• Non-Reasons Early Bird Registration ends at the event on Friday, January 24, 2025, at 11:59 p.m.  Regular Rate Registration begins on Saturday, January 25, 2025, at 12:00 a.m. Open which means you can register for every division.

• Please enter the students’ names into the registration form as soon as possible and definitely before the contest, especially for Reasons.

• The maximum number on a team is 4 students on a team for each division.  Example: 4 for Varsity Reasons; 4 for Varsity Non-Reasons; 4 for Middle School Non-Reasons. 

• Reasons - Official Dress Required; Non-Reasons Casual Attire

• If your students are not on the roster yet, please email their names to pdavis@illinoisffa.org.

• Special Needs Accommodations Form - Please email to swelch@illinoisffa.org by Saturday, November 30, 2024.

• Submitted Registrations Changes:  If your registration is submitted and the registration has not closed, please email pdavis@illinoisffa.org with your changes/if unable to attend, or to unsubmit your registration to fix it yourself.  Please note you cannot change/delete your Reasons Team after midnight on Saturday, January 25, 2025, you will have to utilize the Trading Post.  

• Trading Post - The Trading Post can be used for CDEs after the registration closes or if you cannot attend the CDE.  Please be sure to pay the school that you buy the registration spot(s) from, and the original school will pay the IAVAT.  Note:  If you are a Non-IAVAT Member, you must pay the difference to the IAVAT.  Please email pdavis@illinoisffa.org with your student(s) names.

  • Late Fee - Starting Saturday, January 25, 2025 - Non-Reasons High/Middle School - $80/Student
