Good morning,
There have been several questions over the past few months regarding the State Degree Management Guide. This guide was put together by several members of the SAE Committee, FFA and IAVAT Boards, and other teachers from across the state to try and create a document to outline State Degree "Best Practices". This document is not a new set of standards required by the State Office, but programs who follow this document should have no issues earning a State Degree in any Section in Illinois.
The document itself can be found here:
Throughout this process, there were several questions that were commonly asked referring to specific parts of the document. There is always room for improvement to this document, and some changes may be made over time. Based on the wording of the current document, I have created a video series explaining the document and answering some of the commonly asked questions. Those videos can be found on ILAgEd.org, or found here:
Any additional questions or comments can be sent to swelch@illinoisffa.org.
