Hi Fair Managers and State Staff,
I just called the Court of Claims to find out what kind of timeframe we might expect for the state to process the Pro-Rata payments.
The very nice person on the phone told me that it can take anywhere from 3-6 months to process.
I chose one section to inquire about as an example (thank you Section 5!) and they said the paperwork has been sent to the Illinois Attorney General's office to investigate. The AG's office will contact IL Dep't of Ag for a statement to verify the validity of the claim, and then once they complete their report it will be sent to a judge to sign off.
She told me the time to expect closure to vary, but it is not unusual to take between 3-6 months for the process to work itself out.
Hope that helps you prepare. I'll keep you posted if I hear anything else.
