Illinois IAVAT Marketing Plan Invitational CDE

The IAVAT is hosting a virtual Marketing Plan Invitational CDE on April 23rd, 2025. There will be an informational meeting on February 26th at 3:30 for any teacher interested in learning more about the CDE and the contest itself. Intent to compete in the contest needs to be submitted to Sean Welch by March 19th. Contact Sean Welch (swelch@illinoisffa.org) for more information about the interest meeting and the Zoom link. This will be an official State CDE starting in the 2025-26 school year. 

Important Dates to remember:

• Zoom Meeting with Host & Advisors: February 26th, 2025 3:30PM 

• Marketing Plan Intent Due March 19, 2025

• Written Plan Due to FFA Center by April 9, 2025

• Live Presentation via Zoom or Other Video Platform on 4/23 by appointment set by FFA Center

The Official National FFA Marketing Plan Handbook is attached below. Important rule changes for the Invitational CDE are listed below:

• Virtual Event Rules- must be able to support Zoom or other virtual conference platform

• Visual Aides are only to be a slide deck (i.e. PowerPoint, Google Slides, Canva, etc)

• Teams should select an actual local agribusiness, either an existing or start-up enterprise, that serves the community and decide on the product or service for the marketing plan. Teams should work with an off-campus organization. They can not use their chapter as a client
