Summer Agricultural Mechanics Graduate Course/ CASE Small Gas Engines (SGE) Institute- July 14-18, 2025
This summer, the Illinois State University (ISU) Department of Agriculture is offering an interactive, hands-on graduate course (AGR 431- Curriculum & Skill Development in Agricultural Mechanics) focusing on providing current teachers with knowledge and skills related to agricultural mechanics. This boot camp will cover a wide range of topics related to agricultural mechanics, with a focus on small gasoline engines, agricultural power applications, metalworking & welding, and components of the Agricultural Mechanics CDE. The first 2.5 days of the institute will consist of the CASE Small Gas Engines (SGE) BriefCASE training. For successful completion of the course, students will receive 3 hours of graduate credit. Current tuition rates and fees will apply. If you are not a current ISU graduate student, you may enroll as a visiting/non-degree seeking student at https://illinoisstate.edu/admissions/visiting/.
Teachers of all experience levels are invited to participate. This course is limited to accommodating no more than 20 teachers. Registration for the course is now open. To ensure your spot, please register early. Grants and fees will cover all workshop materials, refreshments, snacks, and lunch each day.
