  New Opening: Streator Township High School

Streator Township High School, located in Section 7, is seeking one to two full-time agricultural teachers for the 2025-2026 school year. The program is well established, supported, and competitive. The current agricultural educators will assist in the transitional process of the new teachers. 


The community of Streator is deeply invested and encouraging with its agricultural program, which provides strong support through engaged alumni, dedicated faculty and staff, and great local partnerships with business and community members. This commitment has helped the program thrive and maintain its competitive edge at all levels and are excited to continue these relationships.


Courses taught may include the following: Intro to Ag & Leadership, Ag Science, Ag Business & Leadership, Floral & Landscape Design, Horticulture, Ag Com & Leadership, and Small & Large Animal Science


Facilities include two classrooms, a officer/teacher office, greenhouse, school garden, business sponsored hay plot, and an anticipated constructed CTE shop for the spring of 2026. 


Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree 

  2. Current and valid Illinois Professional Educators License (PEL) OR Career and Technical Education Educator with stipulations (ELS)

  3. Available for employment August of 2025


Salary and Benefits

  1.  Base salary for teachers is $41,600-64,900

  2. The district participates in the Three Circle FFA and SAE grant.

  3. Twelve (12) days per year sick leave.

  4. Three (3) days personal leave per year.

  5. Tuition reimbursement opportunities

  6. Benefits include health insurance & life insurance


Per the Streator Township High School Collective Bargaining Agreement. *The 2025-2026 contract will be posted once contract negotiations are completed.
