Vacancy: Kewanee Middle School
Position: Agriculture Teacher and Co-FFA Advisor (4th Position)
Description: Kewanee Community Unit District #229, located in Kewanee, Illinois, in Section 3, is seeking an Agricultural Education Teacher and FFA Advisor for the Fall of 2025 for Middle School. This individual will join Ms. Shelby Bailey, Ms. Ella Cagwin, and Mrs. Kindra Callahan in the Kewanee Agricultural Department.
The program is in its early stages and ready for an Advisor excited to shape the future of agriculture students and make a meaningful impact in the community! The administration, alumni, and community strongly support the Agricultural Department.
One semester of Principles of AFNR and STEM in AFNR are to be taught to 7th and 8th grade students. The teacher will be a part of the whole Kewanee Agricultural Department Advisor Team working with both the Middle and High School chapters in the management of events and coaching for CDEs and LDEs.
Candidates must have an Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) or Career and Technical Education Educator License with Stipulations (ELS). The school district participates in the Three Circles grant as long as the candidate meets the requirements. Base salary is based on years of experience and current professional agreement between the Kewanee Education Association and Kewanee School District Board of Education.
