FY25 Ag Incentive Funding Grant Amendments

Additional funds have been added to the FY25 Agriculture Incentive Funding Grant budgets in IWAS as the result of funds being returned to the state from other grant programs that make up the Agricultural Education Line Item in the ISBE annual budget.
This only applies to districts receiving funds based on their quality indicators, not those who receive a set allocation in the first two years of their program. This also applies only to public schools that receive state funds. Allocations increased by 26% with each quality indicator gaining $10.02 per X value.
Therefore, each eligible district will need to amend their FY25 Agriculture Incentive Grant Budgets by May 30th. The following steps can help guide you through this process.
- Login to IWAS, select the Agricultural Education Incentive Grant, and click on the radial button in front of this years grant and then click “Create Amendment”.
- Go to the Page Lock Control tab and make sure that the Applicant Information, Amendment, Upload, Budget Detail and Payment Schedule tabs are all OPEN. If they are not, select those pages and click Save to open them.
- Go to Applicant Information. Verify that the Activity Period is marked as “Regular Project Year.” If it is not, please make that change and click Save.
- Go to the Amendment tab. Select Amended Application. Type “Allocation Increase” in the description box and click Save.
- Go to the Budget Pages tab. Open the Budget Detail Tab. Allocate the additional funds that are listed in the bottom right corner.
- Go to Payment Schedule tab. Add the additional funding amount to the month of May or June.
- Go to Submit. Run the Consistency Check. Submit to your local administrator.

Amendments must be completed by May 30, 2025. All Agriculture Incentive Funding Grants funds must be spent by June 30, 2025.
