Meridian High School Ag Teacher/FFA Advisor
Meridian High
School, located in Section 16, District 4, is seeking applicants for a second
agriculture teacher & FFA advisor position for the 2025-2026 school year.
The Agriculture Program was reintroduced six years ago and has been very
successful. Meridian is in a competitive section, centrally located. The
district recently completed construction of a $2.4 million shop and greenhouse
facility, which includes a new CNC machine, welding booths, and soon to arrive
sandblasting and painting booths.
Potential
Classes to be taught:
- Agriculture Business and Leadership
- Introduction to Agriculture
- Agriculture Mechanics
Salary and
benefits are established by the collective bargaining agreement, which can be
found on the district's website. Meridian does plan to continue
participating in the 3 Circle Grant Program. The successful candidate will work
with current agriculture teacher Adelaide Harp.
