ILCAE Advocacy Award
Purpose: To recognize individuals for their advocacy, efforts, dedication and support for quality education programs in and about agriculture, K-Adult. Application Past winners
Eligibility: All elementary, secondary, and post secondary personnel responsible for
the administration of agriculture education programs which includes Ag-In-The-Classroom, K-8 Schools, High Schools, Community Colleges, Universities, and any other related Agriculture Education Programs can be nominated. School superintendents, principals, school board members, advisory council members, farm bureau managers, extension unit leaders, and related agriculture program administrators are eligible.
K-16 teachers and instructors are not eligible.
Five individuals, one per FFA District, will be honored at the IAVAT conference and ILCAE meeting on Tuesday, June 16, 2020, in Decatur. Due date - April 24, 2020.

This Honorary Degree Program is operated under the policies and procedures approved by the Illinois Association FFA Board of Directors and State Officers. Honorary Degrees are provided for in the Illinois FFA Constitution. The Honorary State FFA Degree is the highest Honorary Degree that can be presented by the Illinois Association FFA at the annual Illinois FFA Convention. Individuals nominated must have provided exceptional (outstanding) service to agriculture and/or the agricultural education/FFA program at the state level. Nominations may also be made by members, friends of the FFA and by Illinois Association FFA Board of Directors and Officers, and the State Staff. Illinois FFA Honorary Degree Recipients.
PURPOSE:
The purpose of the degree program is to recognize individuals who have rendered outstanding service to agricultural education and FFA programs.
CRITERIA OF NOMINATION:
Individuals nominated must have provided exceptional (outstanding) service to agriculture and/or the agricultural education/FFA program. Nominations may also be made by members of both the Illinois Association FFA Board of Directors and Officers, and the State Staff.
CRITERIA FOR TEACHERS APPLYING:
2000 points needed to qualify.
DEADLINE:
All nominations should be submitted in this nomination form by April 1.

Honorary American FFA Degree
Individuals who have provided exceptional service on a national level to agriculture, agricultural education, or FFA are eligible for the Honorary American FFA Degree. Additionally, teachers who have created high-quality agricultural education programs which inspire and motivate their students to strive for success are eligible. Nominations are first submitted to the individual’s state FFA association for approval.
