Types of Membership
Sec. 1. Membership shall be active, associate, and honorary.
Sec. 2. Active membership - Active membership shall be confined to the teachers, technicians, and/or administrative personnel of agriculture in community colleges of the State of Illinois. Voting shall be confirmed to active membership.
Sec. 3. Associate membership - Members of the staffs of the Divisions of Agricultural Education at the University of Illinois, Southern Illinois University, Illinois State University, Western Illinois University, Vocational Agriculture Service Staff at the University of Illinois, the Agricultural Occupations Consultant Staff of the State Board of Education, and the Executive and Associative Executive Director of the IAVAT shall be eligible to be associate members of this association. Associate membership shall be open to anyone else interested in agricultural education upon his/her acceptance by a majority vote of the Board of Directors of this Association. Associate members have the right to attend all meetings and participate in all discussions.
Sec. 4. Honorary membership- Anyone may become an honorary member of this Association by unanimous vote of the Board of Directors of this Association. Honorary members have the right to attend all meetings and participate in all discussions.
Sec. 5. Chartered Members - All individuals considered members during 1967 and 1968 shall be considered chartered members.
