Mission
Students whose lives are impacted by FFA and Agricultural Education will achieve academic and personal growth, strengthen American agriculture, and provide leadership to build healthy local communities, a strong nation, and a sustainable world.

Statement on Belonging
Illinois Agricultural Education values the diverse perspectives of all members. The differences and similarities of each member are what bring growth and opportunities to our organization. We encourage all members to embrace this diversity that makes up our organization so that Illinois agricultural education may continue to grow and prosper. ADOPTED - April 8, 2019.

Belonging & Engagement Task Force
At a joint board meeting between the Illinois Association FFA and Illinois Association of Vocational Agriculture Teachers (IAVAT) on July 28, 2020, a joint task force was formed to focus on Belonging and Engagement within Illinois Agricultural Education. It was decided that an open invitation for student and teacher members of the organizations would be extended to join in the work of the task force.
Two state staff were appointed to assist in the work.
Two sub-committees have been identified:

Breaking Down Barriers will focus on the policies, procedures, and logistical barriers to access and equity within Illinois Agricultural Education.
Education and Advocacy will research and provide recommendations for stakeholder learning opportunities.
